
The Black Caps is the nickname of New Zealand National Cricket Team which acquired ICC status back in 1930. New Zealand Cricket team is registered under ICC banner since 1926 and played its first Test against England in 1930. Now it is the full and registered member of ICC in Tests, ODIs and T20 Internationals.
New Zealand played a first test match in 1930 and won its first match in 1956 almost after 26 years against West Indies at Eden Park in Auckland. The team played first ODI against Pakistan in 1972-73 series in Christchurch.
