There are top 10 ICC World Cup 2019 Teams which are placed in one group, there is no group stage match or elimination as previously adopted in World Cup 2015, the pattern is adapted from 1992 World Cup called as “Round Robin” in which instead of, making group all teams are grouped in one table or category.
As per schedule, all teams will play 9 matches in total and there will be 48 matches of the tournament including two Semi-Finals and one Final match. The pattern was to give place to top 8 qualifying teams and position for 9th and 10th spot was vacant, for that position all other teams like West Indies, Afghanistan, UAE, Hong Kong, Kenya, Nepal, and others had to play qualifying rounds and top 2 were selected for this 9th and 10th position. This qualifying round was completed before the start of the IPL 2019 where West Indies and Afghanistan won their qualifying rounds easily. Now teams have been placed according to their points such as
- South Africa
- New Zealand
- Sri Lanka
- West Indies
Top four teams will qualify for the Semi-Finals and then two teams will be in Finals which will be played on 14 July 2019 at Lord’s. Each team will play with other nine teams so chances to qualify for the Semi-Finals are much brighter for every team. We can not predict which team will win the World Cup 2019 but Team India, Australia, West Indies, and England.
